Title: Linking 998C SI to 958CX DI
Post by: Stiffer on January 12, 2015, 11:29:55 AM
Hi, im just changing my boat and im currently using a 998C SI Linked to a 788CI HD which works fine and I can see my marks on both units and the sonar but not SI on the 788 which is fine. What I want to do is change the 788 to a 958CX DI or even a 858CX DI.
Now what im not sure about is that my current units are from the USA and the new unit I will be getting will be a UK version as now back in the UK. So will I have any problems linking them with one being a US unit and the other UK, I know I will need to change the lead.
Your help would be most welcome.

I don't think that you will but then I not heard of anyone doing this before that I can remember.  All communication between units is in computer code so its not like they won't be able to communicate because the International unit is using French.
