Title: 899ci HD SI Combo - Right Side SI

After initial installation the right side SI was showing a yellow screen with no detail.  The left side was showing detail. 

I had someone who is an experienced Humminbird user test the unit on their boat and they said it appeared to be working properly (both left and right side).  They suggested that I upgrade the software to the most current version, which I did.

Now right side SI is black.  Settings are factory.

Motor was trimmed up so not blocking transducer and nothing else appears to be blocking the transducer.  No debris (leaves, etc...) on transducer.

Pictures are attached.  Any thoughts or suggestions?  Is it time to call Humminbird?

It sounds like you have a cable or transducer problem if the unit worked good on another boat.

Inspect the transducer cable for damage and give customer service a call.  They may want you to send your transducer in, or they may just send you a new one since you have tested your unit on another boat.

Since your unit worked OK on another boat, I wouldn't have updated the software becuase that just introduces another varialble....but too late for that now.
