Title: Transducer Upgrade
Post by: Undismal Nitch on January 04, 2015, 02:57:07 PM: This is my first post and appreciate all the info. that is out there. I just purchased the 899ci HD SI and it came with the XNT 9 SI 180 T transducer. Is it worth the upgrade to the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T? I have a welded aluminum jetboat and will need two transducers so cost is an issue. I fish mostly rivers for salmon and stripers. Thanks in advance for any help.

You will need the AS SILR Y cable for a dual xducer setup because of your jet ...

*Right SI, 2d, and Temp would come from the starboard XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ...
*Left SI would come from the port XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ...

No you do not have to send your unit in just plug in the transducer and your set.
