Title: Transducer Question
Post by: jjbch on December 21, 2014, 01:28:51 PM
Is the transom mount transducer from the 798 HD Si the same size as the trolling motor transducer for the 858 c HD Di  XTM-9-WIDE-DI-20-T, as I have a transducer shield for the 798 and was wonder if I have to buy a new shield or if they are the same size.  Also what is the difference between the XTM-9-WIDE-DI-20-T and the XTM 9 DI 25 T.  Thanks for the help.

I don't think they are the same but look on the transducer saver site using your transducer #s. Bob

The housings are different ...

798 SI stock xducer is a transom mount with "ears" for a transom bracket ...
The XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T is a TM "puck" style for metal hose clamps ...
-------------

XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T =
*83kHz   (60°) / 200kHz (20°)  2d cone shape beam
*455kHz (75°) / 800kHz (45°)  DI fan shape beam
-------------

XTM 9 DI 25 T =
*200kHz (25°) / 455kHz (16°) 2d cone shape beam
*455kHz (75°) / 800kHz (45°) DI fan shape beam

XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T and XTM 9 DI 25 T are both TM "puck" style ...
