Title: Deleting tracks
Post by: rnvinc on February 25, 2010, 12:06:28 PM
Can I delete tracks on my HB unit without deleting the waypoints that were created while making that track...??

Yes you can.  Waypoints and tracks are not interrelated like waypoints and routes are.  Just go to the “Nav” menu tab and select the “Saved Tracks” menu, than use the right arrow and you will see the “Delete” selection along with two others.  Than just select the track you want to delete and use the right arrow to start the process.  You will have to answer "Yes" to the question of whether you really want to delete or or not.

I deleted tracks all of the time usually after the end of the day and I still have all of my waypoints.

I also go back frequently and delete the saved points from making recordings.

Thanks guys..

I wasn't sure about the tracks and didn't want to take a chance on deleting my waypoints...

I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep my unit uncluttered...

I also went back and deleted the starting point of the recordings I done Sat.

At least HB made these points easy to recognise on the unit's chart view with a reel-to-reel icon....
