I installed my AC Pro S.W. I've read the quick start and the users manual. I can even get the demo to work. So I head out this weekend to collect data. I used the start/stop record method to accumulate data. I've got a MATRIX, and RECORD folders on my chip. The MATRIX folder includes DATA.HIT and DATA.HWR files. The RECORD folder includes R00001...R00017 folders, and R00001.DAT....R00017.DAT files. The R00001-17 folders contain B001.IDX-B001.SON, etc. files.
Although the manual says AC will import .DAT files, I cannot get it to import those, or any of files. I am not able to import ANY of my data as it requires I import .ht files or .acd files, of which I have neither?????
Can anyone please tell me where to look for the answer to how I can get my recorded data into a format that AC will accept it to create a map? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!! Thanks for any help.

Your data is in the proper format when recorded. AC does not import automatically. You need to click the import tab on the left side and browse your computer files to find the data you want import, which are in the record file on your chip you had in the unit. you must get that file in your computer by plugging the sd card in your computer.

Which model Humminbird unit did you make the sonar recordings on?
What software version are you running on that unit?

Thanks for your advice/questions. After leaving my post here last night, I spent most of the night working for an answer. I did manage to discover the selections for importing my data (entirely by accident...I was just clicking on options just to see what would happen). I was then able to "create" a map........sort of. Seems that last winter, while ice fishing on an entirely different lake, I made some recordings. When I imported my data last night, I kept getting an error message that the "custom map" exceeded the red square "canvas". It took me a while before I could actually understand what the error message was trying to tell me. Well, I deleted everything, and then went to bed. I plan to re-import just the data collected the other day, and try all over again. I suppose it is a good thing when one makes mistakes because it forces me to learn more of what is available that way!
One last question, do I need both the .dat and the B000X.son files to create a map, or just one or the other?
Hummer...1198hdsi, just purchased and checked for s.w. updates-don't remember exact number.....sorry

Either one, but I wouldn't go deleting any of the files as I would want them as a back-up just in case something goes wrong later on.

Thanks for the advice HG. I've been stumbling around, reading everything over and over....etc. and I'm finally getting some questions answered and maps produced. It is so amazing to see what the bottoms of frequently floated bodies of water REALLY look like, compared to what I THOUGHT they were like from just fishing them!
