Title: 798 ci hd soft ware upgrade problems

I just upgraded to the 7.024 software now my unit will not stop loading. Any help is appreciated

Welcome to the Humminbird Side Imaging Forums bigrich65.

If you have a map card or memory card in the unit try taking it out and see if the unit will power up and work right or not.  If not, try re-downloading the software and try updating it again.  If that doesn't help try loading the software with the boot-strap method.  It's been a long time since I did that and i am not at work today, so you will have to search the site for directions on how to do it.  If it won't, than you will need to send it in to Humminbird to be fixed.  1-800-633-1468

Is there a method for new units (698, 899,999,1199) ?

No, they bootstrap method was only in the older units, not the current ones.
