Hi everybody
 Thanks for the invite. I have been looking at buying the 999 HD SI but i want to make sure i have room to mount it without interference from objects on my boat. Any suggestions would be great.

Questions...

What are the white things on each side of the drain holes...?? (These may create some blockage ...but it can be overcome with a spacer block ....or a dual HDSI xducer setup)...

Is that lower step perpendicular to the keel of the boat...?? (If not, an angled block of some sort may be needed to mount the xducer...

Is the hull single layer fiberglass where a "Shoot Thru" 2d xducer can be utilized...??

Transducer Shield and Saver makes mounts that attach to jack plates...(if the transom creates too many challenges)...

The two white things are the high speed pick ups for the live wells. Here is another picture. I was thinking I could install on that flat piece right below the motor but to one side or the other.

As it does seem that part of the transom is flat enough...

Just realize that the xducer is going to be out of the water on plane...

This is no different than most bass boat applications...where a XP 9 20 (2d) is installed inside the bilge for high speed readings...(using the AS SIDB Y cable)...

Will you be needing depth readings on plane...??

It would be nice to know the depth while running but it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

If your hull is single layer fiberglass...it is possible to use a XP 9 20 xducer (2d) as a shoot thru application for depth readings...

The stock XHS 9 HDSI 180 T xducer ...and the XP 9 20 Xducer would be connected to a AS SIDB Y cable that splits the 2d channel so that all 2d data would come from the XP 9 20 in the bilge...
