Title: 1198 click sounds

Last winter I bought a 1198 from a buddy, installed it along with a 1199 and 998.  The 1198 makes more sonar type clicks vs the 1199 or 998 (both were new). 

Wondering if there was some software that made that sound or how do I get my 1199 and 998 to do it?

What are you meaning by “sonar type clicks” and where is this sound coming from?

Nothing bad by any means. The clicks on a 1199 are a click when you push buttons. The 1198 are more like sonar pings sort of.  1198 reminds me of being on a sub vs the 1199 sounds like my iPad. 

I wonder if I can record audio on my iPad and post it on here. Anyone know if we can post audio?

Guess I have not noticed that difference Gregking.  I don’t know if that was just s software change or maybe a change to the speaker that the 1199 uses or its location.

I think that you can attach any file type to a message but its size may be restricted.

I will tonight, I am going out to test my AS SILR y cable.  Very excited.
