Replaced very old trolling motor and fishfinders with Terrova with I pilot link and Onix 8 # for console, 10 # for trolling motor. Terrova has a built in tranducer. When they installed and went through initial setup, they set the front unit to use the 2d and DI from the transom instead of the terrova,( we have the ethernet switch installed) We have tried factory resets on sonor and total factory reset. We have gone in and manually selected the correct set up, but it won't stay. We have just gotten the units and need to do the updates. After reading issues people are having not sure it they will make things better or worse-
From what I understand, if I choose the update for the onix units- it should be most recent. I put on SD card, follow the instructions and then do the controller and then the remote. There are 3 updates for each the controller and remote listed, depending on version I have- however I do not know - the numbers don't seem to match up- 6.600-6.890? Do these match up for the onix units?
So assuming I have the latest softwear, I would download 2 downloads for each the controller and the remote, can they all be on the same sd card- or at least if the 2 for controller is on one card and 2 for remote on another, will the unit be able to update both in the correct order?
Thank you for any suggestions or advise.

Did more research, did find the universal is only 2D not DI, will try setting DI to transom tranducer and see if that helps.

Please keep us informed how those ONIX units work out for you .......Pictures are good. :)

did you register your units with humminbird.com? That includes ipilot link. If you are registered when you sign into "My Humminbird it will only have the latest updates that pertain to your particular units. Also if you have not registered with Humminbird Select, do so. You will have a second year of warranty coverage. Bob
Also print the instructions and follow every item.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. Setting it up with 2D in front and then DI/SI in the back is now working! Unplugging it from the network, forcing it to see just the universal sonar helped get it back, and then remembering to only set 2D for the front.
I have registered the units, but on my list of downloads it shows some that depend on which version I have updated on unit- So I assume if I update the head, then choose the updates for the latest update I should be good. I will do the registering for sure to get the extra warrenty, thanks for the tip! I will try to post pics- Will work on that next trip out! Hopefully tomorrow-

Lakemaster follow contour not working- when try to choose which line to follow and hit right arrow key, it goes to the next map on favorites bar. Have shut down, restarted, restored defaults, tried to choose with about every possible button and touch screen, no go. Need to do updates, so thought maybe that would help. Got all sds ready, one for the onix units, one for I pilot and one for remote. Tried to install onix on heads. It shows correct update to choose on the screen, hit install, it says installing and success, but when check, the softwear is still the old version. tried both heads multiple times. Any ideas?

Have you tried disconnecting each unit from the network, then try to update?
Just a thought...

Nick, no- but that is really a great idea. It is worth a try! Thanks for the suggestion.

Nick, posted most of info in anther thread, in short after literally all day with customer service- who was really great- there seems to be some softwear and hub issues. They are still working on figuring out how to resolve them. Would really like to find someont that has functioning 2 onix/terrova with ilink and hub that is up and going!

Finally able to update all softwear- was all due to files that were not good. The CS worker that stuck with me tried very hard. We will try in am to see how does on water.
