my 1198 came standard with a grp puck.  greg mentioned before i could go cheaper and get a gr16 for second boat.  question is what will the grp do the other wont

The GRP should have a little faster lock on time, it will track/use more satellites at once and should be a little more accurate versus the GR16.

You may want to check on the GR16 again as we no longer make them.
