Title: humminbird vs raymarine

I don't own any electronics yet I am trying to decide between hummingbird 698 c si or raymarine dragonfly. any advice or help would be appreciated

It all depends on what the use of the unit will be.  tell us about your planned usage..  Chuck

I am going to use it for crappie fishing in lakes where I live the water is  from about30" to 8 maybe 15 ft deep at most

The 698ci HD Si unit should work well in those water depths.
Do you have any specific questions about the operation or capabilities of the 698 unit?
Most will tell you to buy the largest display for an Si unit as you can afford as it makes seeing those small Si sonar targets easier.
