I have a 898c on the front of my boat interlinked with a 1198 at console. For some reason it's not pulling my maps up or the time of day. I checked connections all good an restarted my participation with my interlink an it's still not workin. I went to readout selections an it's not even giving me the options. Any help would b great thanks

Do you have interlink or ethernet?
-
I have interlink. I tried default settings an still nothing.
-
I am not familiar with interlink but if you disconnect from the box do your units run correctly? Bob
-
I tried unplugging interlink an nothing changed. I also moved it to the console an nothing changed there also so I guess I will call customer support an see if they have any idea what it could be.
-
How do you have a GPS Receiver connected to your 898 and 1198 units with the InterLink Curry87?
-
I'm not really electronic savvy with the units I bought the boat last year from someone. An everything has worked up until last weekend on the water an it just up an quit. But everything works fine with my 1198 at the console.

How many GPS Receivers do you have on your boat?
Trace the wire from them and see what it plugs into. This is so we can tell whether the problem is in the unit, a GPS Receiver or possibly in the InterLink.
Can you contact the prior boat owner for assistance with this?
-
I only have one gps puck hooked up to the boat. I can trace wire an check connections. An will also check with the previous owner. I have a extra puck I can plug in an eliminate the one to see if that may b. thanks

I changed my gps pucks an I get nothing different. I did put 898 at the console an put 1198 at the front an I get half the options now on 1198 an all options on the 898. So I don't believe it's the unit nor the gps puck so that leaves me to believe its the interlink does this sounds right?
-
what are the voltage readouts on each unit?
-
I'm gettin like 13.4 on my voltage read out. Im thinkin it's either the interlink box went out or I nicked a wire when the lake was real rough. Think I'm just gonna solve the problem with a Ethernet cord
-
That is with the charger on I bet. Ethernet and current updates for the units will be your best bet. If battery is good, and charged you should get 12.4 at the battery. 12.2 at the unit if wires are good. Good luck. Bob

Thanks bob. Your right 12.4 an I just bought a new 29 mil this year when I did the unit upgrade.

It could be a bad InterLink Connection Cable too. Try swapping which cable is plugged into which port on the InterLink and see what changes on the units. If the cable is the problem the problem should jump to the other unit; otherwise it sounds like the InterLink is the problem.
