I sent unit in for diagnostic and they sent the unit back and it worked fine when I got it back, until I did the new 7.080 download. Then the depth readings went eratic again. The techs told me to load the newest download of 7.090 and retry the unit again? Why do you think they came out with two new downloads in one week (7.080 and then 7.090), do you think the first one was a bust and that they had to correct the problem?

My 998 and 1198 had the 6.64? on it and it did not like to have a navionics and lakemaster card installed. Supposidly the 7.090 was made to fix that and other issues. I updated the 998 and it worked fine but the 1198 depth readings went beserk and read 1.7 feet on the digital and , at first showed actual depth on the di scan. The di depth went away as well. I went to the ducer settings and switched back and forth from the different ducers and ended with the 200 setting. It went in and out and then seemed to work? Anyone else having issue with 7.090?

So your 1198 unit is working okay now Jim or are you still having problems?
