Hi
Ive just fitted a 899ci HD to an inflatable RIB with twin motors and I can’t seem to find a position where I don’t get blocking or shadowing form the motors or drain on the left side. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks

Maybe someone else with a twin powered RIB will see this and comment but I think your options are to either install the HDSi transducer in between the motors and trim both motors up when using the Si/Di sonar or install a second HDSi transducer on the opposite side of the transom and use an ASA-Si-LR-Y cable to connect them both to the 899ci HD Si unit.

Thanks Greg
I had considered mounting it between but wasn't sure, trimming the motors up while scanning should not be a problem.
Ill give it a try.
thanks

PVC board from lowes or Home Depot is very usefull for mounting on hull so moving transducer only puts new holes in the board not your hull. Just cut board to conform to bottom of hull contour then permanently mount to hull in area

Thanks,
Thats a good idea but Ive allready mounted it between the motors and will give it test .

Hi
Tried out the transducer position between the motors and its working well, no difference with motors trimmed up or down.
Thanks for the help.
