Is Humminbird still developing software updates for the 1197c si?

They updated the 1197 to version 6.64 in May of 2013......Not sure where they go from there.

I wouldn't recommend going beyond 6.310 unless you have I-pilot link or the heading sensor.

Have not seen any thing past that update.  Have heard that service may go away. Have heard that there is not any code development of fixes (in a while) nor any planned for the 1197.
I think the 1197 is or has become a unit of the past..

Servicing for the 1197 units will go away at some point but not today!  I checked with the Service Center Supervisor to make sure and we are still able to service the 1197 model units.

Just remember that the 1197 was replaced by the 1198 which was in turn replaced by the 1199 model units.  2010 was the last year that we produced the 1197 units so all of them are four or more years old by now.

I love my 1197....

It works well with 4.750...5.500...6.310...(and the LSS 2)...
