Title: AlumaDucer
Post by: fisherdee on April 22, 2014, 08:55:17 PM
Was wonder if anyone has experience with the AlumaDucer.  I have a Lund Tyee Boat and this sounds interesting for the 2d sonar at high speeds?  I assume they would hook up to the Y cable like others

This guy seems happy with his setup.

Just an FYI here:
For the AlumaDucer to work at high boat speeds you still have to be able to install it in a location that does not have any air bubble flowing under it.

...and I suppose that could be a bit trickier than with transom-mount transducers?  I'm not sure how you'd try different spots.

In the past, for my transom-mounts, I used a suction cup to move around the transducer and find a good spot on my boat.  Now I always have a solid read on bottom up to 20-ish mph and, depending on bottom hardness, up to 35 mph.
