Title: A couple error messages on 360 and 1198
Post by: Scrutch on April 22, 2014, 04:09:05 PM
I need to get these issues figured out.

I get these error messages...

1.  "360 source lost....Turn off?  Y /N  (then the unit retracts on its own)" or "360 source lost.  Switch to F113?  Y/N"  (what the heck is F113?)

2. "360 partially deployed.  Please retract and redeploy."

3. When using the 360 view, the screen automatically switches to the birds eye view nav screen.

The unit NEVER deploys fully when deployed from the head unit.  I always have to use the button to get it all the way down.  When it goes down it sounds like it can barely make it all the way down.

i think there are some others but I can't remember right now.

I really need to get to the bottom of these issues.

Scrutch,
Make sure you have a good power source and connection for the 360 Imaging accessory.
Update the software on your unit and 360.

360 unit software is ver. 2.0

1198 software is ver. 6.74

Can you tell me what the max amp draw is for the 360?  I currently have a 7.5 amp fuse installed in line to the 360. It has never blown so it should be getting enough power.

I'll double check all the connections.

Thanks Greg.

The install guide says 4.0 Amps max.
Current software version for 360 is 2.030, is this what you are running?

Wow that's interesting Greg.  The new 360 version must have JUST been released. I updated my 360 just last weekend and the version that was downloaded from HB was 2.000

I'll need to go back and do it again to get the new version.  :)

Greg, I just checked for that new version after logging in at "my Humminbird" and it is only giving me the 2.00 version. How can I get the 2.030?

Oops!
You saw nothing, you read nothing…  ::)
I did not have a 360 Imaging accessory registered on the Humminbird web site so I assumed that the latest software was out there.  I’m betting that they are waiting on some information from engineering before posting the 2.030 version on the web site.

Heh...ok.  Np.  Thanks for the chuckle. :)

Suffice it to say that it will be out soon!  I'll be waiting patiently.

I checked all the power connections and made some changes.  Is it necessary to have the 360 wired to a switch?  Mine is wired through a switch, but I'm not sure it is necessary.  I think I might bypass it.

I'll be calling HBCS the next chance I get.  Thanks for all your help.  It is greatly appreciated on this forum.

Switch is not mandatory but I would so it does not run down the battery - just in case.
