Title: New Blood here, looking for the best place to mount my si & high speed
Post by: wisdeerhunter on April 06, 2014, 06:53:01 PM
Hello
This is the back of my 2013 crestliner. Looking for the best possible place to mount my SI transducer. I have a transducer mounting plate to put on its about 1/2 inch thick, do i mount the plate flush with the boat edge? instructions say keep about 1/4 for the edge, im thinking 1/4 will create an air pocket any suggestions?
Now the transducer Manual says to keep transducer away form motor 15 inches, but IM ONLY using this at trolling speeds with a trolling motor. Do i need to mount it low enough to miss the livewell screen? a high speed transducer will be mounted on the same plate. Is this a good plan?

Great forum im glad to be apart of it.

We'd like to see pictures that show the underside and "inline" with the bottom edge for better analysis please....
