Title: Flat Bottom SI Problems
Post by: OutdoorsmanDirect on March 21, 2014, 08:37:20 AM
Hey Guys,

I recently installed a 899 CI SI on my flat bottom river boat. Like I have on my other boats, I installed the transducer 15" outside of the diameter of the outboard or 21" from center. When I went to test the unit, I'm getting what looks like block out from the skeg &/OR prop.
I know I can install a second transducer to the left of the motor, and if it is blockage, that should fix it.

I wanted to know if anyone has had this happen, and is so, did you have any luck in moving the transducer? If so which direction... I was reading where some users fixed this by moving closer to the outboard about 17" from center.

Thanks!

Blockage "usually" shows at the same distance from the center line all the way thru the SI history...
(Your left SI history is inconsistent)...

Were you trimming your motor up while he left SI was showing less blockage and then suddenly trimmed the motor back down...??
