Title: Transom mounting 360 situation
Post by: N9Phil on March 11, 2014, 04:27:40 PM
Here is my situation. ::)  I have a transom 360 ready to install.  Because I want to tilt the 360 in order to get under a bridge where I fish, I purchased a Talon tilt bracket.  Now I see that there is a removable transom bracket to use with the 360 and I like the idea of being able to take the 360 off the boat when I am not using it.  Is there a release bracket for the Talon tilt bracket that will allow me to take the 360 off like on my Terrova trolling motor or do I need to scrap the Talon tilt bracket and go with the removable transom bracket for the 360?  Also has anyone seen a price for the removable transom bracket?  I have seen them listed with the wrong picture so I don't know if that is the correct price.

Phil

There are a lot of people looking for alternative mounting options......I think you are breaking new ground on your situation.

Make sure to let us know what worked for you once you get it ironed out.

That portable mount looks like it will swivel, but I couldn't tell for sure how easy it is to operate it without getting hands on.

My brother would love it if I got a portable mount.....that way he could borrow it ;D >:D

It looks real similar to the edge side pulling trolling motor mount. The edge rotates up out of the water and then rotates another direction for stowage.
