Title: transducer compatablity
Post by: castle rock clown on February 24, 2014, 08:48:08 PM: I bought a 788ci hd, it is not a di. I've located an XTM WS3D transducer, is this the wideside transducer, and is it compatable with my 788. Thanks.

That is the trolling motor mounted versions of the WideSide transducer for the old WIDE 3D series of units that we used to manufacture. It will work with your 788 unit but you should have an extra cable you will not need. Remember to change your Transducer Select menu when using it.

If I am remembering correctly; the extra cable was for the 3D units that needed the 2D sonar to come into the unit on a separate connector. Since you won’t need to do that the cable will not be used. Just plug it up, set the Transducer Select menu and go!

One will be connected to the trolling motor at the bow supporting the wide side transducer and the other 788 will be connected to a transom mounted quadrabeam. I can't wait to get back on the water...the fish won't stand a chance.
