Title: 788si HD problems

I have a 788CI HD combo unit less than one year old with the xducer mounted to the trolling motor. the problems are
1. unit will freeze up can't do anything, have to remove from mount to turn off.
2. gps quits working, have to remove from mount and restart, gps will not always restart
3 depth seams to be ok

anyone else having these problems  >:(

These types of symptoms are frequently related to power issues...

Have the battery load tested...check all wiring - especially connections for loose or corroded junctions...

Change 1 of the readout boxes to Voltage and see if you notice any voltage swings during big motor cranking or livewell timers powering on or any other electrical device that may be "stealing" voltage from the unit power supply...
