Bought a new 998 hd si unit, and come to find out it is a CX version. What does this mean? Does it have any effect with me being in the U.S., and will it still ethernet with my 798c hd si?
Thanks in advance

The “C” in the CX means that the unit has a color display.
The “X” in the CX means that it is an International version unit and it will have multiple languages, measurements and come with a different base map set.
Yes it will still Ethernet with your 798c HD Si unit. One of the multiple languages is English-computer. LOL! Just kidding about that last bit – it will Ethernet connect fine.
