Title: 998 bottom readings at speed.
Post by: godwinrl@hughes.net on December 11, 2013, 03:20:41 PM
I have a 998 HD SI mounted on a Basscat Cougar.  Also in dash is mounted a Hum. 787 c.  Is it possible to join these two to one transducer that I can use to read the bottom at speed.  I know that I can install a XP 9-20 transducer and use the Y-cable (AS SIDBY) to the 988 for it to read speed and use the SI transducer for other functions.  The reason I am asking about connecting the two ( 787, 988) is that my 787 transducer has stopped working.  Thanks, Roger Godwin.

You could by way of a US3 Unit Switch but you would have to remember to toggle the switch when you want to use the 787 unit and back again for the 998 unit.

Thanks, I thought that would be the only way.  I'll probably just order a transducer for the 787 and the others  for the 998 and install both.
