Title: Internal GPS problems
Post by: SaminVa. on October 06, 2013, 10:38:37 AM
HI All, I have had my unit for a while now.
Was on the water yesterday using the gps... then all of a sudden it stopped.
Repowered up and did the self test and it showed disconnected or whatever the normal verbiage is when it doesn't show up.
Have you all had any issues with this?
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Sam

Check the power connections to your unit.  Make sure that there is nothing loose or corroded and do not forget to check the fuse holder, fuse and battery connections.  Other than that you would either need to send it in to Humminbird to be fixed or install an external GPS Receiver.

Thanks for the help Greg.
I spoke with my local friend  Wayne Purdam and he suggested to gently and slighty spread the power connections pins.
I tired that and it worked ;D.
Thanks for the tips and I'm happy I don't have to send my unit in for repairs! :D
