Title: useing xhs 9 si 160t transducer on 1197

Can you use this transducer on an 1197c and is the hdsi 180t better and why?

Yes you can.  You will need to change the Transducer Select menu to the “Sidescan” setting.

I think that the XHS-HDSi-180-T is better because it is using a higher frequency set which give a finer image.  Others may have a different opinion.

I bought mine used and it came w/ 160t and I was wondering if there was some advantages to having this transducer
