Title: Humminbird 4087201 998C HD SI - LED or Ccfl?

A lot of sites give information that Humminbird 4087201 998C HD SI has Ccfl backlight.
Here it is for instance:

I just wanted to make things clear/make sure that "998 C HD" has enhanced LED backlight comparing to "998 C".

Not sure If I should send my money though. Seems too cheap and it is told its "discontinued by manufacturer", but 4087201 998C HD SI is not discontinued as far as I know. I would really appreciate your advice, coz I don't have enough ebay experience!

If you can get the serial number of the unit, the first six digits tell when it was made (YYMMDD). Sign up on the BBC board http://www.bbcboards.net/forum.php (http://www.bbcboards.net/forum.php) Its free and they have sponsors who often post deals on units. Good luck.

Yes, sure I checked Humminbird site. Didn't give me understanding if if 4087201 and 408720-1 is the same though. 408720-1 is correct part number, but 4087201 looks like it might be correct too.
The seller sold his first unit for 1195$, second for 1222, now the third for 1302$ Can it be real?
He answered that he can't provide serial number, because he ships directly from a drop shipper. I'm so undecided what to do:(

Looks like someone may have left out the dash ( “ - “ ) with the part number.

The Humminbird part number for the older 998c Si with the CCFL backlighting was 407760-1.
