Title: Newbee with Humviewer and snapshots
Post by: rnvinc on January 24, 2010, 02:33:59 PM
I've just started playing with my new 1197 in Simulator mode and starting to try and learn the Humviewer app...

This relates only to snapshots because I'm sure I will have separate questions for the recordings also...

Even though I copied all 4 .PNG and all 4 .DAT files into my Humviewer folder (on my desktop) only the .DAT folders show up in the File/Open command of the Humviewer program...

I can view the .DAT files in the Google Earth link thru Humviewer...no problem...

Can I view the .PNG file snapshots in Humviewer...??

No, the .png is a standard image format so there is basically nothing for HumViewer to show. Try to double-click/open the .png file. You should be able to view it with a standard image viewer.

As far as I remember you can also click on the waypoint shown in google earth and see the snapshot there.

Regards
Martin

Thanks Martin...

I have no problem viewing the .PNG files in Windows...

I've just begun learning your Humviewer program...so I'm trying to learn what it will/will not do....

So far everything in your program seems to be working fine and I can tell it is going to be a very valuable asset to myself and the SI community...

Thank you... not only for your great program...but, also for your personal support that you give with Humviewer....

I also have an 1197 and from what I understand from HumView is that it will only view recordings. I have no problem viewing the image in Windows, but I'm more interested in the tools provided in HumViewer for setting waypoints, measuring the size of objects, etc.
