Title: 998c HD SI Internel Memory Storage
Post by: ScottA on August 23, 2013, 09:31:33 AM
Here's my problem, I'm using Couture Elite to Plan out some Routes and Waypoints for a Lake, i can create the Routes/Waypoints, in Couture, upload them to Hummingbird PC and send them to a Matrix folder on the 32G SD Card,
(41 Routes consisting of 641 Waypoints(Daylight Routes) no tracks or groups) Put the SD Card in the 998 everything uploads automatically as it should, I then created some night Routes and Waypoints with contour, when i try and load them on the SD Card the HB PC program comes up with an error message telling me the Card is full. If i delete the Daytime stuff , i can then load the nighttime stuff on the card, but when i load the card into the 998 , it indicates the memory is full. I have to delete the Daytime Routes off the 998 before it will let me laod the Nightime Routes.
I'm not anywhere neer the capactys listed for the 998 as far as Routes and Waypoints
Why won't it let me Load more DATA
I wish HB would come up with a users guide for the HB PC, The Help tab tell you how it work but fails to tell you the finer points on using the program.

+1.
You can also sort waypoints by Lat or Lon in HBPC and check for duplicate waypoints.
Duplicate waypoints are defined by HB as identical name, lat & lon.

Also what software levels are HBPC and the HB units?

Also:
You might also be interested in the HB Waypoint Management Guide:
http://store.humminbird.cust.shopatron.com/media/document/WMG.pdf (http://store.humminbird.cust.shopatron.com/media/document/WMG.pdf)
The WMS guide is more useful than the HBPC operation manual on waypoints, routes and tracks.

It is written for WMS "on the unit", but WMS organization is available in HBPC.
"MOVE" on unit is equivalent to CUT&PASTE in HBPC.
"COPY" on unit is equivalent to COPY&PASTE in HBPC.
. . . etc.

And here's a forum post on HBPC/WMS:

If you have HBPC Q's, start a HBPC thread and I will try to answer.
I've "pained my way" thru some HBPC.
But HBPC is very useful software and provides back-up for your unit's navdata.
