Title: More Platinum Navionics hassles

This is weird

Suddenly my 898 si shows the old gold chart when I have the Platinum SD inserted. I thought I had some how copied the Gold onto the Platinum card. I sent the card back to Navionics UK and they confirm the card is still platinum.

Is there something Im missing guys ?


I did have platinum on screen on the unit and now im back to square one ?

Please help  :P

Two questions:
 This is the only map card you have inserted into your machine?
 Is the 898si compatible with the Platinum cards?

I have found a solution to the problem. How it went wrong I don't know . how it was fixed I don't know


I have updated the card and made sure community settings was checked OFF when downloading . Now when I go Menu/ Choose chart/  I can now see the option ' Fish and chip'' This was hidden before

So it all worksagain

If I remember correctly mine shows Platinum, Fish and Chip and Gold. I believe what you ran into involves the start up routine you chose. I have not had issues with mine except for the learning curve.
