 What do you guys think would be a decent price for a slightly used, but good shape, 997?  I would like to find one, but don't want to get raped.

Why should I not buy US model?
Is it not compatible in any way with any maps or so.
i deceided to buy a 797 or 798 because it is so cheap and still have a 450 KHz range.
Any tips?

Hi!
I read the precautions of buying in US, but all those things is somewhat doubtful if they really do have an effect in Sweden.
I bought GPS before in US and they all worked with no problems and software are always available....
But I will test it in Sweden before. You know of any tests done of these US models in sweden?
