Title: 997 down transducer problem!!!!

My 997 has down sensor problem!
If I turn on my 997 in the water, down parameters(depth, image, etc) are good.
But after 5 to 10 sec, these down parameters are gone(depth shows 1.5ft and down image are none!)
And after rebooting, above phenomena is recured over and over.
Side imaging and temperature  signals are good, only down signal is problem.
Please help me~~~

Welcome to the Humminbird Side Imaging Forums byurg.

If this is the only transducer connected to your 997 unit than it may be that the 2D (conventional) sonar part of it has failed.  It could also be a problem in your unit.  The only way to know would be to cross-test your unit with someone else who has a Humminbird unit (any non-DI model unit will work for this test) and test your unit on their boat and their unit on your boat.  Connect only the power and transducer for the tests.  Otherwise it is a guess as to where the problem is.
