Title: v6.640
Post by: elkaddict on June 29, 2013, 11:24:56 PM
I was going to update my unit to v6.640 but I see some people talk of issues of units locking up and other problems.
Should I risk doing so and what changes does this program make to the unit it self.

I would not update if you unit is performing like you want it to and has no issues/problems. There is no reason to update unless you are wanting to add new equipment or features that require an update.

I installed Version 6.640 on my 898 C SI unit and it's working good. So far so good. I installed it on 7/23/13 and have used the unit about three times since then.  Each time I played with all the setting for a good 6 hours each time out.  So far every thing seems to work ok.

I've been playing with the Noise Filter settings, Surface Clutter Settings, Sensitivity Settings 2D, Frequency settings and the fish sensitivity settings among other settings.
