998 HD SI I just got, when I booted both units up, nothing would show on the screen, I could scroll through the screens just like normal but nothing was there. I rebooted and put the previous version of s/w on the units and the worked but I had to reboot the 998 several times because of it hanging on the " PC Connect" screen. On the 898, I had just purchase a new ducer and had to send it back because of left side of SI screen was very very dim and could see anything, got it back on Friday after HB rec it on Wednesday and the tech comments were nothing found, well guess what, its doing the same thing as it was when I sent it in :( kinda makes me wonder if it was even checked. Now Im gonna be out shipping again >:( Hope this is not a sign of things to come from HB support because I have had 8 HB units over the last 7 yrs and this is the first problem I have had. ducer not a month old even and have not gotten to use it the first time >:(

The PC connect issue is a known glitch in some of the new software versions.....
Seems that it takes longer for the unit to boot up completely now...HB knows....I hear they are working on it...
The best "workaround" at this time is to wait 1.5-2 minutes before hitting the "Exit" button during startup....

I'm not using it much either maachuu...but not because of the PC connect issue (which my 1197 has also on the new versions)...
My AS GPS HS is sitting pretty idle right now hoping a new update will fix these yukky images in the new versions...
I can't even get fair enough images with my experimental xducer setups on the new versions...
We wait and hope...and then wait some more...
