Title: New 998CSI No Mapping

installed a new 998 C SI out of the box. latest update caused it to freeze. sent to Humminbird repair was told it was all good and tested fine, tried to use it Saturday and it wont read the C 6 Platinum card. Shows chart loading all the time but nothing ever happens. i have noticed there is no chart select on the unit. did the factory repair miss something when re-installing the software??? has anyone had the same problem and if so please don't tell me i have to send it back again.  my 958 down imaging shows chart select where you can select Auto or right side and i'm sure this unit should be the same

I see where the Platinum Navionics map chip is compatible with your 998.
Humminbird may have done away with the map chip selection.  Not sure.
It's possible that the newest update has some bugs.

Also, maybe your map chip card has a problem.
Can you try the card on somebody elses unit?

I would call Humminbird and ask if there are any known problems with
the update and the Navionics card.
I'd also call Navionics and see if they know of any problems.

Also try using your unit without the map card installed and see if that makes a difference or not.
