Title: Fixes Navionics library drawing when no map is available
Post by: George on January 15, 2010, 10:41:03 AM

With the new updates what does "Fixes Navionics library drawing when no map is available" mean?

HB does not update their user manual or issues any revision information.  I am wondering why they do not update the electronic manuals on their site, currently the electronic version manual for 1197 the original issues.  My manual is revision "F"  So they are making revisions as they go.  Is it possible to purchase the latest revised manual.

Probably not an issue if you have never noticed it!

As I understand it, there were some issues or glitch when you had your Navionics Chip in and there would not be a base map for your area.

I am sure Greg will hve an answer for us!

I can tell you it wasn't the fix I was hoping for.  We have a camp on an outlet stream, and it connects to four lakes.  The outlet stream and all lakes are in the unimap, ie outline of.  In the Hotmaps Premium card, it has three of the four lakes and no outlet stream.   If you are zoomed way out you will see the complete outline of all the water, with rectangular boxes around the Hotmaps provided lakes.  The rectangular boxes do not extend over much of the outlet stream and one lake.  As you zoom in, the hotmaps lakes become more detailed, but the rest disappears.  HB indicates, it works that way.  So I have to switch back and forth forcing the unimap vs the automatic setting.   Really, a minor annoyance, but did get my hopes up after reading the release notes.  Maybe a future release.
