Title: Help with Humminbird 598

Hi. I just install my Humminbird 598CI Si combo. I went on the test run, at first it was working showing the side imaging. As I go half way the lake, the screen is starting to show white line through the middle of the screen and it would show a blank screen with 155ft when I'm only on 4 ft of water but it still reads the temp. and the mph correctly. I touch the transducer and it would work than at time it would not work again. What can be the problem?

Were you viewing the SI view screen and was the Range set at a high number when this happen?
In 4', try bringing the SI range in to 25' and see what happens.

If touching the transducer makes it work for a while, sounds like you have a broken wire near that point or maybe a bad transducer. Did you pinch or nick the cable when installing it?
