Title: Suggestions where to mount transducer on my Triton TR19?
Post by: Tharkm98 on May 21, 2013, 06:12:53 PM
I'm looking for some input on where to mount the transducer.  I'm thinking about the red boxed area, below the jackplate, where it should have a clear side to side view.  Or the blue boxed area where my old DI transducer was before I moved it to the Bow.  Just hoping to avoid the pain of putting it in a bad spot and having to drill even MORE holes in my poor boat.
Thoughts?  Suggestions?

Also, Triton hulls have that weird inset transom (yellow area in pic).  Does that interfere with the SI readings at all?

Thanks for your help.

Tharkm98,
From your pictures it looks to me like the red boxed area would be best if the transducer will fit there when the motor is trimmed all the way down.

I don’t see where the hull would interfere with this.  Usually there are problems when the hull flairs outwards not inwards.
