Hi guys, i've update to vers 6610 my 998 Hd and at the beginnig it works fine for a couple of month , till i've started to record images and datas from my 360SSI. Initially seems to works fine and record all info, till i've plugged it in to my computer for way points download and recordings analisis ( SD card only plugged in the computer for data anlisis ) using Hummview...of course the 360 datas was funny to be viewed on this software that isn't already set for it ...it was just my curiosity....
then i've reinsert the SD card in the unit ( without making any modification on it ) and i've powered the unit with an exsternal appropriate power as i normally do...then when started in simulator mode......as i change any view the unit lock itself and reboot automatically without any exsternal imput......never done before....and do this at any view modification that i do
If i start the unit in normal mode ( no gps and ducer cable installed ) due to temporally down load instalaltion ( no USB cable connected ), the unit show only recording page, status page...no more....but if i try to play any of the 360 recording .......the unit lock itself and then crash and reboot as before rappresented.....
why?????
now i'm curious to instal the 998 in the boat with all the ethernet cables connection,gps HRS, 360SSI....and see if it's working or is just an unpeasent bug pop up after the 6610 Srev installation......
Grag if you have any notice about this news......let me know.....here in Italy i'm waithing some good news......

Does it do any of these things without the SD card installed?

i'll try to do without SD card.....but yesterday i've tryed the unit on my boat, fully installed and recording out of water 4 minutes of DI & SI combo view not the 360 images. Uniti works well, no auto reload or strange tings, pagese scroll fine....till...i've decided to see the file just recorded ......HERE YOU ARE......may be 3 sec of play back and then te unit crash again......restart itself.......work fine at all ....till you decide to replay the recorded file.....it crash at any time....Removed the Sd card and insert in the computer in Hummview ......recording file has no problem....so i dont' think that is a question of SD ( SD 10HD 4 GB ) but to get a fine trouble shooting , today i'll try a different SD and i'll see...... :-\ :-\ :-\ i'll let you informed saw that this is a common problem popping up.....
