Humminbird releases each model as it becomes available instead of waiting for all models to be completed before releasing. So just because your model is not listed today does not mean it will not see enhancements. Please give them some time to get all models released:

Glad to have sold that one for a reasonable price in juli 2009.
Harry, keep them crossed.
Although you'll manage with the SI alone.

Has anyone downloaded the new uploads yet? I have tryed and my units won't upload! HELP!
-
Did you reset your unit to defaults before the install?
-
Why cant i find the new release. I am logged in?
-
Igor19,
I have updated my unit without any issues. All I can say is AWSOME! Was the thermocline indication with above/below temp something new on this release? I do not recall seeing it before.

DTG,
They are on the Humminbird site. did you log on there? They should show up under your unit listing.

I have updated the Download Section (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=downloads) here on the forum and it now has the newly released downloads for the Side Imaging units.
1197c - v. 4.750
997c - v. 4.750
798c - v. 4.780
798ci - v. 4.780

Found it. My bad.
-
Sure Hope they update the Matrix 97 units on the GPS speed at least. Sure will be bad to have a unit thats only 6 months old and not get any updates on it.
I can live without the rest of the update's but to have the GPS show me moving below .07 MPH would be great..
Also looking forward to the update for my 987c-SI .

Can someone explain why a reset to factory defaults is required prior to upgrade and why, if you do not do a reset, the unit has to be returned to the factory for repairs? (I read that on another forum) I would think it would be as simple as any software upgrade that would be downloaded on the net. I feel sorry for anyone that does not know the reset requirement. Seems that small obstacle could be fixed with an included upgrade. Thanks for any responses.
-
What I've read in the other forum, you don't have to restore to factory defaults any more, because the update will do this automatically.
However, after I screwed up my unit last January by NOT restoring, I will never ever update without restoring to factory defaults. All in all it's easily done and doesn't take more than a minute.

Same here.
Still no pics, AIS and Waypointmanagement info?

Uploaded the new update. I am with others in restoring to defaults prior to upgrade. I just dont want to take a chance. the factory is 16 hours drive time away. The upgrade worked fine. Now for some water time. Chuck

In reading on Humminbird's website, I know before you put the update card in your unit, you're suppose to restore your unit to factory settings. Also if you live near a Cabelas and/or BassPro, they will do the downloads/updates for you. All you do is bring your unit to the store and they'll do it while you wait (only takes a minute). You might want to call 1st to make sure they've got the update chip from Humminbird.

I have the update on a sd card.
I have two units (997) 3 hours away. Is the update extracted from the card when I install it, or can I use it multiple times?
-
Hi Reddog,
You can use the update multiple times. It will not be extracted from the card.

Thanks Harry.
I did not care for the previous update,(4.510?) and reverted back to my previous version.(4.180) Im going to assume that its inevitable that 4.75 will put me up to date with the previous version. Hopefully the improvements have helped.
Im seeing nothing but good reports from those that have updated!
Cant wait.

I would make sure that there is just one update file on the card. The latest update includes all previous updates.
I'm too looking forward to play with my unit and the new version.
Good luck / Harry
