I can't say the left side is at all like some of the images I see here but that could be because of my own inexperience. The transducer is mounted on the right side of my kayak so the right side of the transducer has a clear view. On the green palette I get featureless pea soup. I have covered the same shore line in both directions and the result from the right side is the same. Bad transducer?
I would also like to know what settings you all use to get those images. I have a trolling motor mounted on the back so a steady 2 mph is easily had.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a bad transducer or it could be something in the unit (less likely). Know anyone else with a Humminbird Side Imaging unit (any model) that would let you test your unit on their boat?

I am the early adopter in my group so I know of no one with a compatible unit. I will call Humminbird.
