Title: How Do You Pack Your Puck?
Post by: MTBob on March 28, 2013, 08:55:57 PM
In Montana and the northwest we travel many gravel roads with our boats.  It appears to me that the puck hanging out the back of the boat is susceptible to damage from flying rocks.  So, I was wondering if the SI puck should travel in the kicked-up position as a protection?  Or, is there a need to place some kind of protection over the puck?

I've seen some neoprene covers that fit over the ducer.  I would opt for that rather than trying to find the sweet spot every time out.

You've given me an idea - a beer cozy would do nicely.  That should fit right over the puck... and when not on the puck, serving another useful purpose.
