anyone know what the charge time is on the *link remote battery, 23 pages of install instructions and nothing on remotes battery charge time

No idea. I just charged mine overnight, and the light was still red.  As you mentioned, no instructions, so I turned it on and it showed a full battery. I'm guessing i'm good, but it would be nice to have the light turn green or off when it's charged.

Same here, have left it on the charger for a couple of days straight and the red light stays on.  I just plug it in after a couple of uses and so far everything has been good to go.

I called MK customer service today and asked about the proper charge time for the remote.  As we surmised, the red light only indicates that it is plugged in.  To tell if it is properly charged, you have to unplug it and turn it on and look for the full battery indicator.  The rep did say that it could not be overcharged.
