Title: Soft subtle electric tingle from transducer
Post by: dubosegriffin on March 07, 2013, 05:01:52 PM
Greetings,

In troubleshooting some of the wiring in my boat, I think that there may be a short somewhere related to my GPS. The main reason that I think this because if I have my boat in the water and I reach down and put my hand on the transducer, I feel a small tingle as if there is a small amount of current running. My question is: 1. Is this normal. I do not feel this same tingle on the transducer on my work boat. Can anyone comment on this.

Thank you,
DuBose Griffin

What you are feeling is the pulses off the transducer.  Mine actually is quite uncomfortable if i leave my hand under it.

Set your unit to the 50kHz setting and it gets very uncomfortable!  :o
