Title: Optional transducer spacer
Post by: KeggER420 on March 06, 2013, 05:15:46 PM
In my new transducer mounting kit, HB has included an optional transducer spacer.  What is the purpose of this?

Pros?

Cons?

Thanks!

Is this what you are talking about (see pic below)?

If so, this is used to plug the whole between the transducer and the pivot arm.  Some have to install the transducer lower in the water than what it was designed for and this plug blocks the flow of water through here as it can sometimes end up causing a roostertail of water to shoot up from the transducer.  Install it if you need it, otherwise don’t.

Yep that's it! I wasn't sure if it helped prevent turbulence and air bubbles around the ducer

Thanks!
