It will get the time and date from the GPS receiver data.

You need to look under the setup menu tab to set your unit to the Local Time Zone or to turn On/Off Daylight Savings Time (which is coming up this next month).

Greg i've done that, but the time didn't change. I'm thinking it will when i get on the water and the gps finds me.It has me now here at home but i have not moved the boat.I thought it would change after i turned the unit off and back on, but it did not.
I can wait a few days and it will be right ;)
Thanks, MT

It should not matter if you are at home or on the water. If the GPS is showing a location it should have the date and time from the satellites, which you can offset the time using the menus I stated. Did you check this outside on the boat and if so was the unit running in the normal operating mode (not in a Simulator mode)?

It's inside, It shows a circle at my home and the lake which is 1/2 to a mile away. It's in NORMAL ,ADVANCED, Daylight saving is on, and in central time.
THANKS MT
