My 1198 is having issues and so am I. I need it for 2 more weeks for work before sending it in because it locks up frequently between changing views and dropping views. It seems to do this when I have any card in the slots while booting up. I have to go into the menus and reset to default and make sure all views are visible just to get a map to load.
Anyhow...somewhere in the menus there is a way to change the GPS coordinates from decimals to minutes and seconds, etc...I did it this morning...but darned if I couldn't find the offering this evening and don't know where to look on the manual. Help!

In the Setup Menu tab you will need to make sure the User Mode is set to advanced. When you reset it probably went back to normal.
You should be able to see the Position format then.
