Title: 798 transducer mounting
Post by: hgv on February 12, 2013, 02:59:53 PM
Here is the existing location of the transducer. Works well here but thinking about lowering it the next step to get higher spped operation of the  transducer. Any advice on mounting it between the drain holes for the livewells?

X marks the new spot

You most likely will not get readings when on plane. Unless you put it on the bottom step. You may want to consider going with a shoot thru hull 2d transducer and a y cable.

Just make sure the trailer doesn't get in the way if you're moving it lower.

+1
XP-9-20 inside-the-hull transducer plus an AS-Si-DB-Y transducer splitter cable will get you all fixed up.
