Title: Second Transducer
Post by: jnordyke on February 06, 2013, 12:23:36 AM
I know this has been asked before but for the life of me I can't find it...sorry!

My 998 unit just arrived today.  If I find I can't keep depth reading at high speed with the SI transducer that comes with the 998, what transom-mount transducer and cable do I want to add strictly for the 2D depth reading at speed?

Transom mount transducer?  The XNT-9-20 transducer and AS-Si-DB-Y transducer splitter cable.

If you have a fiberglass boat you may consider using the inside-the-hull XP-9-20 transducer and AS-Si-DB-Y cable.

Thanks.  aluminum boat and star trek sensor arrays aren't available yet, so transom mount  ;D
